Verbeck House

The Verbeck House stands on Church Street in Ballston Spa, New York, near Saratoga Springs. Built in 1889 for local attorney James Verbeck to a design by regionally significant architect Marcus F. Cummings, it is a two-and-a-half-story frame house in the Queen Anne style, one of the few Queen Anne designs Cummings completed and among the last buildings he designed, with decorative clapboard siding, a slate roof with a modillioned cornice, and an interior of cherry-paneled rooms, a walnut staircase, and original oak parquet floors. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 7, 1983, later served as home to the National Bottle Museum, and today holds professional offices.
