Villa Jeanneret

Villa Jeanneret is a house at 8-10 square du Docteur-Blanche in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, designed by Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret and built between 1923 and 1925 for Le Corbusier's brother Albert Jeanneret and his fiancee Lotti Raaf, as a paired project alongside the neighboring Villa La Roche. Its north-facing site called for light courts, a terrace and skylights to bring in natural light, and it has a rooftop terrace shaped like a ship's deck above the salon, dining room, bedrooms, study, kitchen, maid's quarters and garage; the interior was altered by Charlotte Perriand in 1928. No longer a private residence, it now houses the Fondation Le Corbusier's museum and archives together with Villa La Roche, though it is closed to the public, and it was inscribed as part of the UNESCO World Heritage listing of Le Corbusier's architectural work in 2016.
