Villa Sacchetti at Castelfusano

The Villa Sacchetti, also known as Castello Chigi, is a fortified villa at Castelfusano near Ostia Antica outside Rome, Italy, built from 1624 to 1629 for the Sacchetti family, close associates of Pope Urban VIII. It was the first architectural commission of Pietro da Cortona, whose block-like design with corner bastions responded to the threat of coastal pirate raids, and its interior includes a fresco gallery by Cortona and Andrea Sacchi. The Chigi family acquired the villa in the 18th century, giving rise to its alternate name.
