Villa Stenersen, in Oslo, was designed by architect Arne Korsmo in 1939 for the financier, art collector and author Rolf Stenersen and his family, intended to serve both as a residence and as a gallery for Stenersen's large art collection. It is regarded as one of the principal works of the Norwegian functionalist style and is the only Norwegian member of Iconic Houses. The villa is now operated by the National Gallery of Norway, which opens it to the public every Sunday during the summer, and it is currently undergoing restoration led by Statsbygg in collaboration with the National Gallery and the Stenersen family.
