Villa Vecchia is a patrician villa near Frascati, Italy, in the territory of the comune of Monte Porzio Catone, founded in 1560 by Cardinal Giovanni Ricci of Montepulciano. In 1562 it was sold to Cardinal Ranuccio Farnese, becoming the first Frascati residence of the Farnese family under the name Villa Tusculana, and it was restored for the occasion by the architect Vignola; Pope Gregory XIII later used it at times as a summer residence. The villa was damaged by air attacks during the Second World War, when it served as a German military depot, and it now houses a hotel and restaurant. Frascati is known for twelve such villas, collectively called the Ville Tuscolane, of which Villa Vecchia is one.
