Villino Pastorelli

Villino Pastorelli is a Gothic Revival villa at Via Oriana Fallaci 8 in Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy, built between 1908 and 1913 to a design by Lorenzo Porciatti in solid brick with decorative stone elements, standing along the northern approach to the city's historic walls between Piazza Fratelli Rosselli and the old town. It was originally built as a private residence for the wealthy landowner Millanta and later passed to the lawyer Pastorelli, whose name it still bears; the building housed the Excelsior Hotel from 1942 to 1943 and then banking operations from the postwar period until 2013, and since 2019 it has been occupied by the furniture and design company Fidia. Porciatti's design combines a central rectangular volume with an angular, battlement-crowned tower and a side wing resembling a medieval chapel, using radial brick patterns around its openings, in a style scholars describe as British-inspired Neo-Gothic.
