Willis Building (London)

The Willis Building is a commercial skyscraper at 51 Lime Street in the City of London, designed by Norman Foster for the developer British Land and completed in 2008 after construction began in 2004. Rising 125 meters over 26 floors in a tiered, stepped profile, it stands opposite the Lloyd Building and was, at completion, the fourth-tallest building in the City of London, part of a wave of new towers built in the district. Most of its office space was pre-let to the insurance broker Willis Group, now Willis Towers Watson, whose name the tower carries; it is a separate building from Chicago Willis Tower, which took its own name from the same company sponsorship of that building.
