A nonprofit standards organization, formed in 1994 by the merger of three regional United States code organizations, Building Officials Code Administrators International, Southern Building Code Congress International and the International Conference of Building Officials, to develop a single, comprehensive set of model construction codes. The International Building Code it publishes has been adopted throughout the United States and in many countries internationally.
