Arlington Plantation (Lake Providence, Louisiana)

Palaces and Aristocratic Residences

Arlington Plantation is an 1830 Greek Revival plantation house along Schneider Lane near Lake Providence in East Carroll Parish, Louisiana, fronted by a six-bay, two-story Doric gallery overlooking the lawn toward the lake. It is one of only about four surviving two-story galleried Greek Revival mansions in northeastern Louisiana and is associated with Edward Sparrow, a wealthy cotton planter and Confederate politician. The 6 acre property, which also includes a twentieth-century cottage, a gazebo over a cistern, a garage and a buggy shed, was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 3, 1980, as part of a survey of Lake Providence historic buildings. Has Building Type

Entity-backed identity for the building-type enum value this building already carries, resolved to an architecture concept by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The building-type fact itself stays on the building unchanged.
