All Residential Buildings

Ordinary domestic buildings built for everyday habitation rather than aristocratic display: the house, the individually named residence, the housing complex and the residential complex. Belongs here: any named dwelling or multi-unit housing development considered as an entity in its own right. Does not belong here: palaces and other aristocratic residences, grouped separately because their scale, patronage and architectural ambition set them apart, or hotels, grouped under hospitality buildings even where a hotel began life as a residence.
