Arena

Building Types and Traditions as Concepts

An arena is a large enclosed venue, often circular or oval-shaped, designed to showcase theatre, musical performances or sporting events. The cited article says it comprises a large open space surrounded on most or all sides by tiered seating for spectators, and may be covered by a roof. The key feature of an arena is that the event space is the lowest point, allowing maximum visibility, and arenas are usually designed to accommodate a multitude of spectators. It is one of the three venue concepts, with the stadium and the amphitheatre, named by the combined stadium, arena and amphitheater value. Buildings recorded in the atlas as arenas are grouped under this concept.

Entity-backed identity for the building-type enum value this building already carries, resolved to an architecture concept by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The building-type fact itself stays on the building unchanged.
