Benjamin Ten Broeck House

The Benjamin Ten Broeck House, also known as the Felten-Ten Broeck-Chmura House, stands on Flatbush Road in the Town of Ulster, north of Kingston, New York. Built in three stages before the American Revolution, the stone house was constructed by Benjamin Ten Broeck, a wealthy landowner, for his tenants, and it is the only building surviving from his estate after his own house was demolished. Its overall design is of Dutch origin, though the kitchen's design indicates later use by Palatine German immigrants; despite vandalism and theft that cost it some original finishings, it has retained its architectural integrity and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
