Borgo Medioevale, meaning Medieval Village, is an open-air museum in Turin, Italy, made up of a reconstructed medieval village and castle in the city Parco del Valentino along the Po river. It was built for the 1884 Italian general exposition by replicating and adapting the late-medieval architecture of the Piedmont region, drawing on more than 40 real castles, villages and churches across Piedmont and the Aosta Valley, including Fenis Castle, Issogne Castle, Verres Castle and Ivrea Castle as models, with historians, artists and technicians working to keep the architecture, decoration and landscaping faithful to their originals.
