Matsumoto Castle, originally known as Fukashi Castle, is a castle in the city of Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, Japan, ranked among the country's premier historic castles alongside Himeji and Kumamoto. It was the seat of the Matsumoto Domain under the Tokugawa shogunate of the Edo period.
