Villa Lante al Gianicolo is a summer villa on the Janiculum Hill in Rome, designed in 1520 and 1521 by Giulio Romano for Baldassare Turini as one of Romano's first independent commissions after the death of his master Raphael. Built on ground believed to have held the house of the Roman poet Martial, the villa today belongs to the Republic of Finland and houses the Institutum Romanum Finlandiae and the Finnish embassy to the Holy See.
