Palazzina Gonzaghesca di Bosco Fontana

Palaces and Aristocratic Residences

The Palazzina Gonzaghesca di Bosco Fontana stands near Marmirolo outside Mantua, in Lombardy, Italy, built at the end of the sixteenth century for Duke Vincenzo I Gonzaga by the architects Giuseppe Dattaro and Antonio Maria Viani. Its Renaissance design combines the features of a villa, a castle and a hunting lodge, with four corner towers resembling castle turrets and a surrounding moat. It served as a hunting lodge stocked with exotic game in the surrounding forest, and the building and its adjoining lands are now managed by the local park service. Has Building Type

Villa, Concepts

Entity-backed identity for the building-type enum value this building already carries, resolved to an architecture concept by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The building-type fact itself stays on the building unchanged.
