Castello Bufalini

The Castello Bufalini is a castle-residence outside the town of San Giustino, in the province of Perugia in Italy's Umbria region, originally built by the Ghibelline Dotti family of Sansepolcro in the medieval period. Around 1500 it was rebuilt as a Renaissance residence for the Marquis Niccolo di Manno Bufalini under the architects Mariano Savelli and Giovanni and Camillo Vitelli, with further expansion after 1530 by Nanni Unghero and later work in the late seventeenth century by Giovanni Ventura Borghesi. Following renovation, the castle is now open to visitors as a museum and heritage site.
