Castello Bufalini

Palaces and Aristocratic Residences

The Castello Bufalini is a castle-residence outside the town of San Giustino, in the province of Perugia in Italy's Umbria region, originally built by the Ghibelline Dotti family of Sansepolcro in the medieval period. Around 1500 it was rebuilt as a Renaissance residence for the Marquis Niccolo di Manno Bufalini under the architects Mariano Savelli and Giovanni and Camillo Vitelli, with further expansion after 1530 by Nanni Unghero and later work in the late seventeenth century by Giovanni Ventura Borghesi. Following renovation, the castle is now open to visitors as a museum and heritage site. Has Building Type

Castle, Concepts

Entity-backed identity for the building-type enum value this building already carries, resolved to an architecture concept by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The building-type fact itself stays on the building unchanged.
