Rustic architecture is a style used in the United States for rural government and private buildings and their landscape and interior design, influenced by the American Craftsman style. The National Park Service found it the style most widely used in forested national parks and other wilderness parks, calling the term rustic imperfect but the best available label for the approach. Rustic architecture applied to national parks is sometimes called Parkitecture.
