The late-twentieth-century style that puts a building's structure and services, ducts, pipes, lifts, bracing, on outward display, often brightly colored and celebrated as ornament in their own right, born from Richard Rogers and Renzo Piano's Centre Pompidou in Paris and carried on by Norman Foster and Nicholas Grimshaw among others. It shares Brutalism's honesty about how a building is made while replacing raw concrete with exposed steel, glass and color.
